Bristol 10k 2008

Campaign supporters Niamh Byrne and Lebert Scarlett show off their medals after the first ever Bristol 10k. 

We would like to thank our kind supporters who took time out of their bank holiday Monday to support the Yvette Gate Bone Marrow Campaign - well done!

But for supporters in the Bristol area there is another opportunity to help raise funds and have a great day out and that is the 20th running of the Bristol Half Marathon - details below.

The "big race" in Bristol is the Half Marathon, now in it's 20th year.

This Campaign depends upon your support.  And with your help we can make a greater impact by raising greater awareness and additional funds.  Please join us.

As with the 10k, if you you would like to run for us then please sort out your own registration and then e-mail to let us know.  We will do all that we can to support you, as you do what you can to support our Campaign.

There are no minimum requirements!

Unlike many larger charities we do not have many resources and appreciate your support very much.

Bristol Half Marathon 2007

Last year on Sunday 9 September 2007 Bristol hosted another successful half marathon. 

The men's race was won by Tenodros Shiferow in 1hour and 3 minutes and the women's race was won by Jane Muia in 1 hour and 10.  But how did the Bone Marrow Campaign runners get on? 

Well, they all finished the course, and John and Nicky both made improvements on their times for 2006.  Here they are photographed just before the start:
